The barrel is made from polyethylene and is completely seamless, very easy to keep clean and simple to use.

The complete delivery includes a stylish snow-load resistant plastic cover with lifting handle, a large approx. 35 kW marine-aluminium stove, a drain tap and drain pipe. The tub is insulated. The base includes a 45 cm Styrox fill, so this tub will not be affected by frost. The outer shell is domestic heat-treated pine (Lunawood). The tub package is 100% Finnish quality workmanship.

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's Classic Hot Tub is made in Finland down to every little particle. We are very proud of our production line and have made this Classic Hot Tub model for years using the same reliable method. The tub edge panels arrive at the factory as long material, are cut to size and formed into an element that houses the previously glued insulation base from Sastamala made by Jackon and the maintenance-free PE plastic basin moulded by Pipelife in Oulu. Our experienced hot tub specialists drill the drain hole in the base, make the heater openings in the side and fit the hoses. Finally the package is carefully tilted on its side to install the drain pipe.

The Classic Hot Tub is delivered carriage paid to its new happy owner, who only needs a water hose, firewood and a firestarter. The new owner should ensure the tub is level so the water does not sit unevenly. Installation instructions are included, but in practice you only need to attach the stove to the tub with hose clamps on a level surface, screw in the stove's drain valve and voilà — ready to bathe.

Improved seating comfort in the rotationally moulded basin – also for taller bathers

The maintenance-free, rotationally moulded PE basin comes almost from next door, from Pipelife in Oulu. At their factory the plastic granules are placed in a mould which is rotated in an oven for about an hour. After cooling the basin is ready to be moved to Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's production line.

We have paid special attention to seating comfort. The basin sides are not vertical — a wedge-shaped insulating air gap has been left between the basin and the rim panels, which is gentler on the bather's back. Our rims are typically higher than other manufacturers', so taller bathers' shoulders sit below the warm water surface and their necks stay warm. Seat comfort is top class and legs are not cramped in this tub — although the tub is high the bench is not too low.

Super-efficient marine-aluminium stove

The marine-aluminium stoves included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's hot tub package are made in Finland. The powerful 35 kW stove handles even seawater, as it works with both fresh and brackish water. Carefully chosen material details make the stove a hot top product. Marine aluminium conducts heat well, the stove's front plate is stainless steel and the glass door lets you check the fire without opening it. The stove package includes two metres of chimney pipe and a rain cap; for extra pipe, a spark guard or other items, see the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine oxidises marine aluminium. We recommend changing the water regularly and using active-oxygen tablets (see accessories). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about 24 hours, after which the water can be used for watering as it contains no added chemicals and is safer for children. Non-oxidised water can form slimy residues on the tub edges, but active oxygen prevents this.

Easy low-effort maintenance

The Classic Hot Tub's base is insulated with 45 cm Styrox, so it stays frost-free. The plastic cover included reduces heat loss significantly. A well-heated tub can be reheated the next morning with a single load of firewood.

Heat is also held by Lunawood's heat-treated pine panels, which complete the tub's appearance as rim material. The pine panels need no maintenance if you prefer a natural silver-grey weathered look over time. If you want to keep the brown tone, apply wood oil annually. The plastic basin is maintenance-free — without cast seams, dirt has nowhere to collect. Remember to keep the basin surfaces clean when changing water; normal detergents are sufficient. More diligent users can sanitise occasionally, but remember to handle wastewater correctly.
