Viewing the property:

Before placing a bid, the bidder is obliged to inspect the property, documents and records in question. The buyer may not subsequently rely on any matter that could have been discovered during the pre-inspection.

Interested parties may freely visit the area; no separate viewing will be arranged.

Information provided by the seller:

The seller warrants that they have provided the buyer with all information they know and that can be assumed to affect the transaction.

Concluding the transaction:

The highest bidder in the auction must sign the deed during September–October 2026.

The property transaction will be signed in the National Land Survey of Finland’s electronic property exchange service. In addition to transfer tax, the buyer will pay EUR 236. This fee includes the application for title registration and the preparation of the deed. 

In addition to the purchase price, the buyer must pay transfer tax of 3% of the purchase price.

General information on Metsähallitus lease agreements:
The lease term for plots is 40 years.
Rent is due once a year, at the end of February.
Metsähallitus requires a rental security deposit, amounting to 1.65 x the annual rent.
If desired, you may buy out the plot during the lease period. Paid rents are not counted towards the purchase price; plots are sold according to the prevailing price level.
The lease agreement will include unrestricted transfer rights.
Metsähallitus will check the tenant’s credit history before making a leasing decision; leasing is not possible if there are entries in the credit record.

Withdrawing from the sale/lease:

Under the Land Code, a party that refuses to enter into a sale or lease agreement must compensate the other party for reasonable costs incurred from advertising, inspecting the property and other necessary actions related to the transaction.
