The Municipality of Tuusula is selling the Klemetskog school buildings, no longer used for educational purposes, at Maisalantie 273 and 267. The buildings were previously located on the same plot, which has now been subdivided; consequently, they are now on separate plots. Both school buildings are being sold as separate properties simultaneously on Huutokaupat.com. The buildings are protected.

The yellow primary school building (at Maisalantie 267) was built next to the Swedish-language secondary school in 1929–1930. It served as a Swedish-language primary school and is divided into three sections: the former teacher’s residence, entrance areas and classroom. The building has a floor area of approximately 132 m².

The building’s current use is buildings for general education institutions. In the Ruotsinkylä–Myllykylä partial local master plan, the planning designation is AT-1, village area, where residential construction and service buildings required by the village and surrounding settlement are permitted. In the partial master plan, the building for sale is protected under designation sr(17). The permitted floor area allows a maximum of 400 m² for residential construction. The plot also contains an old sauna and storage building, which are likewise protected and may not be demolished.

Converting the building into a residence requires measures and a permit procedure. If no measures requiring a permit are carried out, the plan permits, but does not require, changing the building’s use to residential. Further information: Building Inspector Anne Savolainen, anne.savolainen@tuusula.fi, tel. 040 314 3589. Any alterations to the building must also be discussed with the regional responsibility museum because the property is protected. Further information: juha.h.vuorinen@hel.fi.

The building suffered water damage towards the end of 2025. Water entered the interior and basement areas. The areas have been dried, and surfaces have, among other works, been renewed. Further information and the damp survey report are available from the contact person mentioned in the listing.

Except for some details, the building has retained its original appearance and is located in a rural area along Maisalantie, near the Ruotsinkylä research forest.

The property will be sold through an open bidding process on the Huutokaupat.com website. Bidding begins on 19 October 2026 at 06:00 and ends on 15 November 2026 at 19:00, or two minutes after the last accepted bid.

Beyond the information provided in this listing, the seller has no further information, for example, about the property’s detailed renovation history. The seller therefore recommends that prospective buyers attend the viewing and inspect the property on site. One viewing will be held. The viewing time is stated in the listing.
