Another option is to come via Pokka airfield and walk the final little under 10 km. Immediately to the south lies the famous Pomokaira area. Historically, Pomokaira has been a wilderness hunting and fishing area with no permanent settlement. Among others, the wilderness writer A. E. Järvinen described Pomokaira in many of his books.

The property for sale is an approximately 1.35 ha parcel described in the map appendices, separated from property 758-408-36-12. The parcel consists of two plots; about 1.02 ha along a forest road and about 0.35 ha on the bank of the Kitinen, with approximately 50 m of shoreline. According to preliminary information, a building permit by exception could be granted for the plot along the forest road, but there is no building right for the riverside plot. However, the riverside plot is well suited for keeping a boat and perhaps building a lean-to shelter. The seller is not responsible for obtaining a building permit. Sodankylä municipality is responsible for approving or rejecting the building permit.
