The full delivery includes a stylish plastic cover with a lifting handle that withstands snow load, a large approx. 35 kW marine-aluminium stove, a drain tap and an outlet pipe. The tub is insulated. The base has a 45 cm Styrofoam fill, so frost will not bother bathers in this pool. The outer cladding is Finnish heat-treated pine (Lunawood). The pool package is 100% Finnish quality work.

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's Classic Hot Tub is made in Finland, down to every last small part. We are very proud of what comes off our production line and we have been making this Classic Hot Tub model for years with the same proven formula. The tub side panels arrive at the factory as long stock. They are cut to length and assembled into an element, into which the pre-glued insulation base from Sastamala by Jackon and the maintenance-free PE plastic pool moulded by Oulun Pipelife are fitted. Skilled hot tub specialists on the line drill the drain hole in the base, the stove holes in the side and fit the hoses. Finally the package is carefully tipped on its side once more for installing the outlet pipe.

The Classic Hot Tub is delivered freight-free to its new happy owner, who only needs to have a water hose, firewood and fire-starting equipment ready. However, the new owner must ensure that the hot tub is installed level so that the water does not settle unevenly in the tub. Installation instructions are included with the package, but in practice the new owner only needs to attach the stove, placed on a level surface, to the hot tub with hose clamps, screw the stove drain valve shut and off you go, into the bath.

Improved seating comfort in a rotationally moulded tub – also for taller bathers

The maintenance-free, moulded PE plastic tub comes to us almost from next door, from Oulu-based Pipelife. In their factory, a rotationally moulded tub is created from plastic granules as the result of a precise process. The plastic granules are placed in a mould and the mould rotates in an oven for an hour. After cooling, the tub is ready to be transferred to Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's production line.

We have paid particular attention to seating comfort in the design of the tub. The sides are not vertical, as a wedge-shaped insulating air gap has been left between the tub and the edge paneling, which is kinder to the bather's back. Our tubs have edges that are on average higher than those of other manufacturers, so even taller bathers' shoulders sink below the surface of the steaming warm bath water and the neck does not start to freeze. Seating comfort is top class and your legs will not be cramped in this hot tub, as despite the height the bench is not too low.

Super-efficient marine-aluminium stove

The marine-aluminium stoves included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's hot tub package are made in Finland. With an output of 35 kW, the stove is not even afraid of seawater, as it works with both fresh and seawater. Carefully considered material details make the stove a hot top-quality product. Marine aluminium conducts heat excellently, the front plate on the stove is stainless steel and the glass door allows you to check the fire without opening the door. The stove package includes two metres of flue pipe and a rain cap, but if you want more pipe, a chimney guard or a spark guard, take a look at the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine starts to oxidise the marine aluminium. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active oxygen tablets (see the accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about a day, after which the water can also be used for watering, as it contains no additional chemicals and is also safer for children. Water without oxygen quickly starts to form a slimy surface on the edges of the bath tub, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Easy maintenance with little effort

In the Classic Hot Tub, your backside will not freeze even when the ground is frozen. The 45 cm insulating Styrofoam at the base prevents cold from reaching the bottom of the tub and at the same time keeps the water warmer. The delivery includes a plastic cover, which significantly reduces heat loss. A well-heated hot tub can be warmed up again the next morning with one load of firewood.

Heat is also retained by the heat-treated pine paneling from Lunawood, which crowns the look of the hot tub as the outer edge material. There is no need to do anything to the pine paneling if you don't want to. Over time the surface will then naturally weather to a beautiful grey. If you do want to preserve the brown tone, apply wood oil to the surface once a year. The maintenance-free aspect also applies to the plastic tub, as there are no moulded seams where dirt can collect. However, remember to keep the pool surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy with normal cleaning agents. The most thorough users can occasionally clean the tub more aggressively, i.e. disinfect it, but remember to take care of wastewater properly.
