Example water connection for a 120 m² house: The water connection price is: 6 × building floor area × €1.25 (VAT 0%). That is €900 (VAT 0%). In addition, the fixed price for installing the house shut‑off valve is €520 (VAT 0%). The interface point is the water main shut‑off at the plot boundary; all excavation and pipework on the plot side beyond the shut‑off are carried out by the builder at their own cost. A water meter is also sold to the customer, price €45 (VAT 0%).

Sewer connection example for a 120 m² house: The wastewater connection price is: 6 × building floor area × €2.10. That is €1,512 (VAT 0%). The sewer connection pit is brought to the plot boundary; the interface point is in the connection pit. Conditional offers are not accepted.

Bids made in the auction are binding. If a bid is accepted, the bidder is obliged to pay the offered purchase price within the agreed payment period. Failure to pay the offered purchase price may result in liability for damages.

If the highest binding bidder makes an unfounded bid, they must pay the seller a penalty of €1,000 within 3 days to cover incurred costs.

The competent authority of the City of Alajärvi reserves the right to accept or reject the highest bid. The final highest offered purchase price requires approval by the Alajärvi City Board and a separate sales decision.

Conclusion of the sale

The buyer pays the purchase price and the price must be paid at the signing of the deed.

The buyer is responsible for the transfer tax arising from this purchase.

The buyer will obtain ownership of the property after the competent authority of the City of Alajärvi has made the sales decision, the deed has been signed and the purchase price paid.

NOTE!

The highest bidder must pay a reservation fee of €500 (five hundred euros) within 3 days of the auction’s end to the account indicated by the city. The reservation fee will be refunded when the full purchase price for the plot has been paid within the given deadline. No interest is paid on the reservation fee.
