Frezzer Solar 100 L 12/24 V fridge-freezer combination

The Frezzer Solar 100 L is a freestanding fridge-freezer combination designed especially for cottages, and it runs on a compressor. The 85 L fridge and small 15 L freezer compartment for chilled goods or ice cream packs makes everyday life possible even far from home.

It works in cottage use with 12/24 V solar power systems and uses less power compared with a normal fridge and inverter combination. The cooling is based on traditional compressor technology, the same as in appliances used at home, but the electronics are designed for DC voltage required by battery use. The DC motor is therefore more energy-efficient, and the controller with soft start current and thermostat helps ensure a longer service life for your batteries. Even if the battery has a high instant current output, power spikes always drain it whenever the fridge starts cooling, which happens many times a day.

The motor is also quieter than usual, giving you the chance to enjoy nature with less compressor hum. It has windings made of pure copper, whereas cheaper models may use aluminium, which withstands wear less well.

The model is designed for the European market, but its base has been tested in tropical conditions, where especially low power consumption and good insulation are important. This is also useful as summer heatwaves become more common in Finland and food still needs to stay cold.
