Arctic Hot Tub! No more drinks warmed in the water

Who would want to sip drinks warmed up in the tub? No one! That is why the hot tub designers at Hyvän Kaupan Paikka have come up with integrated shelves with drink holders for the Arctic Hot Tub. The shelf is not only a waiting lounge for tub beers, ciders, lemonades and cocktails, but you can also place mood candles and lanterns on it. It also works brilliantly for children’s tub activities, as swimming goggles and toys can be put on the shelf during breaks from diving games. Its versatility is limited only by imagination, so the shelf is truly multi-purpose. The openings intended for drinks can also hold earrings or a smartwatch if you are unsure about its water resistance. Even though you should not be checking the time while enjoying the tub, it is handy to glance at the phone resting on the shelf. The eight drink recesses are enough for a larger group of bathers too.

Innovative design – square-oval shape

We decided to combine two beautiful design languages into one and created the square-oval shape of Arctic Hot Tub. The design speaks both practicality and beauty. The shape makes the shelves possible and adds extra character to the traditional round hot tub form. Arctic Hot Tub fits perfectly with Finnish uprightness and straight-backedness. However, the Finnish “from the mire, the hoe and Jussi” ideology has had its corners rounded off, because nobody needs to tense up in a hot tub. Although the tub is called Arctic, we recommend warming the water before stepping in.

Easy-to-use, versatile Step In step

You would not think that one plastic step could do so much, but it really can. We designed the Step In step to make getting into the tub easier, and made it a perfect fit for Arctic Hot Tub. Naturally, the step makes getting out of the tub easier too, but it also works as a seat for a smaller child when their head would otherwise sink below the seat. We have also found it serves well as an armrest, making Arctic Hot Tub a convenient water recliner. The Step In solution makes Arctic Hot Tub a tub for all ages and helps those with reduced mobility enjoy bathing more easily. In Finland’s arctic winter conditions, tired limbs are easier to lower into the soothing warm water thanks to Arctic’s Step In step.

Which colour would you like?

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s relaxed approach is also reflected in our hot tub selection. From us, you get hot tubs for every need and taste. You can have the Arctic Hot Tub styled exactly to your liking. Choose the colour of the plastic shell from five options and decide on the placement of the Step In step in relation to the stove. And that is not all. You can also choose the outer cladding material from three options and pick the cover colour between black and grey. The tub colour range takes its inspiration from nature, with options such as sea blue or lichen grey. All shades work together beautifully and are fully compatible.

Arctic conditions – effective insulation

To make Arctic Hot Tub worthy of its name, we wrapped the tub in proper insulation! Beneath the plastic shell is 44 cm of EPS insulation, which keeps frost at bay and the bathing water hot even in colder winter weather. We also added plenty of thermal plastic to the sides, so the edges are insulated too. This highly insulated hot tub retains heat so effectively that a well-covered Arctic Hot Tub will still be warm the next day. For the chilliest cold-blooded bathers, we recommend burning one stove load for the next day’s water fun, but a tub ready for bathing the next day is ready in a flash. Fire up the stove, change clothes, wash up and get the tub drinks ready, and then it is time to bathe.

Gentle warmth, efficiently

The powerful Arctic stove made of marine aluminium heats the water to bathing temperature in a couple of hours. The marine aluminium in the 35 kW stove is durable and conducts heat very well. The stove is equipped with a beautiful glass door, so the wood-fired tub creates a lovely glow around it and you do not need to open the door to check the fire.

The marine aluminium stoves in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s hot tub package are made in Finland. This high-powered stove is not even afraid of seawater, as it works with both fresh and seawater. Carefully considered material details make the stove a red-hot top product. The stove package includes two metres of chimney pipe and a rain cap, but if you want extra pipe, a chimney safety grille or a spark guard, take a look at the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine starts to oxidise the marine aluminium. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active oxygen tablets (see accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about a day, after which the water can also be used for watering plants, as it contains no added chemicals and is safer for children too. Water without active oxygen can easily start forming a slimy layer on the edges of the tub, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Carefree plastic shell

The uniquely designed Arctic Hot Tub shell, carefully engineered for seating comfort, is made of moulded Jaxal polyethylene plastic. This plastic has a memory, meaning it wants to keep the shape it was moulded into. The easy-care, carefree plastic shell stands the test of time excellently, which is why we dare to offer a ten-year warranty on it.

Because the plastic shell has no cast seams, dirt cannot collect in any particular places. However, remember to keep the shell surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy to do with ordinary cleaning agents. More meticulous users can clean the shell more vigorously from time to time, i.e. disinfect it, but remember to handle wastewater properly.
