Frezzer Solar 100 L 12/24V fridge-freezer combination

The Frezzer Solar 100 L is a free-standing fridge-freezer combination designed especially for cabins, and it runs on a compressor. An 85 L fridge and a small 15 L freezer compartment for ice cubes or ice cream packs make everyday living possible even far from home.

It works in cabin use with 12/24 V solar power systems and consumes less compared with a normal fridge and inverter combination. The cooling based on traditional compressor technology is the same as in appliances used at home, but the electronics are designed for the DC voltage required for battery use. The DC motor is therefore more energy efficient, and the control with soft-start current as well as the thermostat help ensure a longer service life for your batteries. Even if the battery has a high instantaneous current output, power spikes draw it down every time the fridge starts cooling, which happens many times a day.

The motor is also quieter than normal, allowing you to enjoy nature with less compressor hum. It has windings made from pure copper, whereas cheaper models may use aluminium, which withstands wear less well.

The model is designed for the European market, but its base has been tested in tropical conditions, where energy efficiency and good insulation are especially important. This is also useful as Finnish summer weather increasingly includes heatwaves and food needs to stay cold.
