The car is being sold at auction due to a secondary noise from the engine. The noise is metallic and rattling, and becomes quieter or stops as engine speed rises to around 2,500–3,000 rpm. The exact cause has not been established, but the suspected cause is the oil pump or the timing-chain or its tensioner. No warning lights are illuminated. The timing chain was replaced in November 2024, when the car had 353,000 km; approximately 32,000 km have been driven since then.


In addition, the fuel filler flap cannot be opened from outside and must be opened via a cable through the boot. Knocking can be heard from the suspension, particularly when driving over bumps. A new control arm is included for the repair.
