A proper boss's Mokka with four-wheel drive, needing a little work!

Recently done:

Front/rear brake pads
New windscreen
Left driveshaft seal

Drives superbly, going like a Japanese bullet train.

Petrol, four-wheel drive and manual. What more could you want?

Workshop findings below:

Cold-start tested. The EGR changeover valve on top of the engine rattles fairly loudly and becomes slightly quieter when squeezed by hand.

-Test-driven; the secondary noise clearly follows vehicle speed, not engine revs. It also clearly whines when coasting in neutral. Pressing the clutch has no effect on the noise.

-Driven onto a lift and listened to with a scope; the rear differential is making a very clear rumbling noise. The right driveshaft seal is damaged and has leaked a considerable amount of oil onto the ground -->> Differential to be replaced

-The right front driveshaft support bearing on the transfer case is clearly noisy

Undertray removed and gearbox listened to = also making a loud noise -->> Oil drained; the quantity was correct, but there was clearly metal in the oil.

Once someone skilled sorts these issues, they will have a low-mileage beauty.
