MOT valid until: 12/2026
An S-Class Mercedes offering a truly ministerial level of comfort.
For a V8 engine, this mileage is merely running-in mileage. The engine purrs smoothly and the gearbox changes gear imperceptibly. The car is a joy to drive: quiet and smooth. Four-wheel drive ensures confident progress in winter conditions, too. The reversing camera makes parking possible even in tight spaces.
A superb car bought for the rest of its life and cared for and serviced accordingly. During its autumn service, the meticulous mechanic found a rusted support beam inside one of the housings. At the same time, he noticed the smell of petrol and found rust in the tank. All car welders here have waiting lists of several months. We use the car continuously, so it cannot sit around waiting. Therefore, with great reluctance, we have to part with the best car of our lives.
No fault was found underneath the car during the MOT, but some support beam inside a casing is rusty. There is rust on the fuel tank mounting (if I understood correctly), and petrol is seeping from there. Not much, as it does not drip onto the garage floor, but there is a smell.
