Ford Ranger Super Cab 2.5 TDCi 4x4 VAT-deductible, 2010, Lappeenranta

Up for auction is a vehicle not often seen at auctions, going to the highest bidder.

This is a four-wheel-drive Ford Ranger from 2010. The 2.5-litre turbodiesel still growls like the big bad wolf, with plenty of power—the performance is all there.

The gearbox works as it should, and the four-wheel drive was tested and works as expected.

The brakes are in good condition, including the handbrake, and the clutch is good. I do not believe this has been used extensively for towing.

Technically, it is still an excellent vehicle. Rangers with half a million kilometres are not uncommon, so it likely has just as much life ahead as behind.

The appearance is still quite presentable. As I said, if work tools show no signs of use, then no work has probably been done. :)

The most notable points are surface rust on the right front arch, a hole in the plastic of the tonneau cover and a crack in the rear light. These are the sort of things a reasonably handy person can fix, while a sensible person will not even worry about them—this is a work tool, not a showpiece.

The body is not dented and the vehicle has never been in an accident.

The interior is intact apart from the driver's seat. As you can see in the pictures, it has lost its shape, but it should not be difficult to make usable again if someone can be bothered to do it.

The main thing is that it has not been smoked in and does not smell of wet dog. Naturally, rural dust and the outdoors show, but I would not do anything about that myself either.

This is not a revolving-door prize. In fact, I think I mentioned in the video that the previous owner had it for over ten years, but that is not correct, as this came from the first owner. They bought it from demonstrator use in 2011. So it is a one-owner car.

All service work is documented, most importantly the timing belt, which was replaced in March 2024 at 237,000 km, so it can be driven for years yet.

I also crawled under the vehicle and, on a quick inspection, noticed no oil leaks or similar problems.

The next inspection is due on 17 June 2027, so there is no rush there either.

The winter tyres are the friction tyres currently fitted. They are not particularly good, but I would manage the first winter with them. The summer tyres, on the other hand, are nearly new and excellent. Both sets are on the original alloy wheels.

Business buyers should note that the vehicle is VAT-deductible, which provides a considerable additional benefit.

There are plenty of pictures and a couple of videos, so the vehicle should be clear even from the other side of the screen. You are also welcome to visit Auto-Kilta in Lappeenranta to view and test-drive it. It is at the back of the used-car row, so it can also be seen from outside in the evening.

And if you do not need it yourself but know someone it would suit perfectly, do tell them—farmers, machinery contractors, forestry workers, people in the horse industry and others are usually very interested in these.

Bid so loudly that it echoes in the neighbouring town.
