Arctic Hot Tub! No more warm drinks in the water

Who would want to sip refreshments warmed in the hot tub? Nobody! That is why the Hyvän Kaupan Paikka hot-tub designers created integrated shelves with drink holders for the Arctic Hot Tub. The shelf is not only a waiting lounge for hot-tub beers, ciders, lemonades and cocktails, but can also hold mood candles and lanterns. It is also ideal for children’s hot-tub activities: during diving breaks, goggles and water toys can be placed on it. The shelf’s versatility is limited only by your imagination. The drink-holder openings can even hold earrings or a smartwatch if you are unsure of its water resistance. Although time need not be watched while enjoying the hot tub, it is convenient to glance at the phone resting on the shelf. Eight drink recesses are enough for even a larger group of bathers.

Innovative design – square-oval shape

We decided to combine two beautiful design languages and created the square-oval shape for the Arctic Hot Tub. The shape speaks both practicality and beauty. It enables the shelves and adds character to the traditional round shape of hot tubs. Arctic Hot Tub suits Finnish uprightness and straight-backed style perfectly. The corners of the Finnish “swamp, hoe and Jussi” ideal have nevertheless been rounded, as nobody needs to tense up in a hot tub. Although the tub is called Arctic, we warmly recommend heating the water before getting in.

Versatile Step In stairway for easier use

You might not think one plastic step could do so much, but it can. We designed the Step In stairway to make getting into the pool easier and to fit the Arctic Hot Tub precisely. The step naturally makes it easier to get out, but also works as a seat for a smaller child whose head would otherwise be submerged while sitting. In use, we have found that the step also makes an excellent armrest, turning the Arctic Hot Tub into a convenient water armchair. The Step In solution makes Arctic Hot Tub suitable for all ages and makes bathing easier for people with reduced mobility. Thanks to the Arctic Step In, limbs tired by Finland’s Arctic winter conditions can be lowered more easily into pleasantly warm water.

Arctic conditions – effective insulation

To make Arctic Hot Tub worthy of its name, we wrapped the pool in proper insulation! Beneath the plastic pool is 44 cm of EPS insulation, keeping frost at bay and the bathing water hot even in colder winter weather. We also added plenty of thermo-plastic insulation to the pool sides so the edges are insulated too. This highly energy-efficient hot tub retains heat so effectively that a properly covered Arctic Hot Tub is still warm the following day. For the chilliest bathers, we recommend burning one load of wood before the next day’s water fun, but the tub will be ready for bathing again in an instant. Add wood to the stove, change clothes, wash and prepare the drinks, then it is time to bathe.

Gentle warmth, efficiently

Our efficient marine-aluminium stove heats the water to bathing temperature in a couple of hours. The 35 kW stove is made of durable marine aluminium that conducts heat well.

The powerful stove is not even put off by seawater, as it works with both fresh and salt water. Carefully considered material details make the stove a red-hot top product. The stove package includes 2 metres of flue pipe and a rain cap, but if you want more pipe, a chimney guard or a spark guard, see the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine begins to oxidise it. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active-oxygen tablets (see the accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for approximately 24 hours, after which it can also be used for watering, as it contains no additional chemicals and is safer for children. Oxygen-depleted water can easily create a slimy surface on the pool edges, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Low-maintenance plastic pool

Unique in design and carefully planned for seating comfort, the Arctic Hot Tub pool section is made from Jaxal rotationally moulded polyethylene. This plastic has a memory: it wants to retain the shape into which it was moulded. The easy-care, hassle-free plastic pool withstands time excellently, which is why we dare to provide a ten-year warranty.

As the plastic pool has no moulded seams, dirt cannot accumulate in particular places. However, remember to keep the pool surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy with ordinary cleaning products. The most thorough users can occasionally clean the pool more aggressively, i.e. disinfect it, but remember to ensure wastewater is handled correctly.

Thousands of hot tubs in Finland’s valleys and hills

You can relax while lounging in the hot tub, as Arctic Hot Tub is a Key Flag product and represents Finnish craftsmanship while supporting domestic employment.

Finnish Hyvän Kaupan Paikka is a reliable place to buy hot tubs, as we have already sold tens of thousands of them. Last year alone, we delivered 5,500 hot tubs to Finnish outdoor-bathing enthusiasts to brighten every season. Outdoor-bathing products made with a relaxed yet precise attitude represent the best of Finnish production.
