Greywater filter Pipelife Pisara


Pipelife's greywater products effectively clean household and holiday-home greywater (wash water) without electricity or chemicals. The greywater filter cleans wastewater using a filter material that supports microbial activity. The Pisara greywater filter is also suitable for properties with a shower, dishwasher and washing machine.

The Pisara filter is suitable for households of 1–5 people. The product is designed and manufactured in Finland. Pisara is easy to install either below or above ground, so it is suitable for rocky sites as well.

Pisara is serviced by replacing the biodegradable natural filter fibre. In normal use the filter material should be changed approximately every 100 days. Used fibre can be composted. Filter discs are replaced as necessary.

When installed correctly the system is reliable and long-lasting. The Pisara greywater filter can be self-installed or fitted by a trained Pipelife partner.

Process description:

• Wash water is directed into the Pisara

• The water is filtered through Pisara's cells and the filter-fibre mass, where microbial activity removes impurities from the wastewater

• The treated water is discharged to an open ditch or absorbed into the ground
