Lease agreement

Leases will be signed with the winning bidders for the period 1 May 2026 - 31 December 2029 with three months’ notice. The lease is attached to this announcement.

The tenant must arrange waste management and any wastewater, electricity and water connections required on the rental site at their own expense.   

Bids

Binding bids are submitted in the bidding procedure held on the Huutokaupat.com website. Participation requires logging into the system. 

The auction concerns the kiosk site’s monthly rent. The winning bidder undertakes to pay the offered rent for every month of the year and to provide a security deposit equal to three months’ rent.

The auction will be won by the highest bidder who has also demonstrated sufficient financial and other capacity to meet the obligations under the lease.

Other auction conditions

Bids (offers) must be submitted in the Huutokaupat.com service by the specified time. You may also participate by submitting a written binding offer to the City of Helsinki by 22 March 2026 at 16:00. Prior agreement is required to submit a written offer (via the "Send message" enquiries button) no later than 18 March 2026. All offers will be registered publicly on the property announcement. A written purchase offer is binding and the same terms apply as in the online auction. The written offer must be signed and must state the bidder’s contact details, the maximum bid amount and the Huutokaupat.com service item number to which the offer applies.

The City of Helsinki is not responsible for the functionality of the service provider’s system. The highest offer is the one the service provider’s system has accepted as highest.

The City of Helsinki reserves the right to end the sale or to extend the sale period. 

Bids are binding and the successful bidder is obliged to enter into the lease and to pay the offered price and the security deposit in accordance with the lease. 

Bidders agree to the disclosure of contact details to the City of Helsinki for decision-making purposes.

The City decides on committing to the lease in accordance with the City of Helsinki's administrative regulations. By participating in the electronic auction the bidder consents to electronic notification of the decision. Electronic notification will be sent to the email address provided in the service provider’s system.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the City of Helsinki for costs incurred from organising the failed auction.
