Lease agreement

Lease agreements will be made with the winning bidders for the period 1 May 2026 – 31 December 2029 with a three-month notice period. The lease agreement is attached to this notice.

The tenant must arrange any required waste management and any wastewater, electricity and water connections for the rental area at their own expense.

Bids

Binding bids are made in the bidding procedure held on Huutokaupat.com. Participation requires logging into the system.

The auction concerns the kiosk site’s monthly rent. The winning bidder undertakes to pay the rent they offer for every month of the year and to provide a security deposit equivalent to three months’ rent.

The auction will be won by the highest bidder who has also demonstrated sufficient financial and other capacity to meet the obligations of the lease agreement.

Other auction terms

Bids (offers) are made in the Huutokaupat.com service by the stated deadline. It is also possible to participate in the auction in writing by submitting a binding written offer to the City of Helsinki by 22 March 2026 at 16:00. Arrangements for submitting a written offer must be agreed in advance (via the "Send a message" enquiries button) by no later than 18 March 2026. All offers are recorded as public in the object listing. A written purchase offer is binding and the same terms apply as in the online auction. The written purchase offer must be signed and must state the bidder’s contact details, the maximum offer amount and the Huutokaupat.com service object number to which the offer applies.

The City of Helsinki is not responsible for the functionality of the service provider’s system. The highest offer is the one the service provider’s system has accepted as highest.

The City of Helsinki reserves the right to end the sale or to extend the sale period.

Offers are binding and the maker of the accepted offer is obliged to enter into the lease and to pay the offered price and the security deposit in accordance with the lease.

Bidders agree to the disclosure of their contact details to the City of Helsinki for decision-making purposes.

The city decides on entering into the lease in accordance with the City of Helsinki’s administrative regulations. By participating in the online auction the bidder consents to electronic notification of the decision. Electronic notification will be sent to the email address provided in the service provider’s system.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the City of Helsinki for the costs caused by the failed auction.
