Lease agreement

Leases will be signed with the winning bidders for the period 1 May 2026 - 31 December 2029 with a three‑month notice period. The lease agreement is attached to this notice.

The tenant must arrange required waste management and the necessary wastewater, electricity and water connections for the rental area at their own expense.   

Bids

Binding bids are submitted in the bidding procedure held on Huutokaupat.com. Participation requires registration in the system. 

The auction concerns the kiosk site's monthly rent. The winning bidder undertakes to pay the offered rent for every month of the year and to provide a security equal to three months' rent.

The auction is won by the highest bidder who has also demonstrated sufficient financial and other capacity to meet the obligations under the lease.

Other auction conditions

Bids (offers) must be made in the Huutokaupat.com service by the given deadline. It is also possible to participate in the auction by submitting a written binding offer to the City of Helsinki by 22 March 2026 at 16:00. Arrangements for submitting a written offer must be made in advance (via the "Send message" enquiries button) by 18 March 2026 at the latest. All offers are registered publicly in the listing. A written purchase offer is binding and is subject to the same terms as the online auction. The written offer must be signed and must state the bidder's contact details, the maximum offer amount and the Huutokaupat.com listing number to which the offer relates.

The City of Helsinki is not responsible for the functionality of the service provider's system. The highest bid is the bid that the service provider's system has accepted as highest.

The City of Helsinki reserves the right to end the sale or extend the sales period.

Bids are binding and the maker of an accepted bid is obliged to enter into the lease and to pay the offered price and security in accordance with the lease.

Bidders agree to the disclosure of contact details to the City of Helsinki for decision‑making purposes.

The City decides on entering into the lease in accordance with the City of Helsinki's rules of administrative procedure. By participating in the electronic auction the bidder consents to electronic notification of the decision. Electronic notification will be sent to the email address provided to the service provider's system.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the City of Helsinki for the costs incurred by the failed auction.
