Lease agreement

Lease agreements will be made with the winning bidders for the period 1 May 2026 - 31 Dec 2029 with three months' notice. The lease agreement is attached to this announcement.

The tenant must arrange waste management and the required wastewater, electricity and water connections for the rented area at their own expense.   

Bids

Binding bids are submitted through the bidding procedure on the Huutokaupat.com website. Participation requires logging in to the system. 

The auction concerns the kiosk site's monthly rent. The winning bidder undertakes to pay the offered rent for every month of the year and to provide a security equal to three months' rent.

The auction is won by the highest bidder who has also demonstrated sufficient financial and other ability to meet the obligations under the lease agreement.

Other auction conditions

Bids (offers) must be made in the Huutokaupat.com service by the specified time. It is also possible to participate in the auction in writing by submitting a written binding offer to the City of Helsinki by 22 March 2026 at 16:00. Prior arrangement is required for submitting a written offer (via the "Send message" enquiries button) no later than 18 March 2026. All offers will be registered publicly on the site's announcement. A written purchase offer is binding and follows the same terms as the online auction. The written offer must be signed and must state the bidder’s contact details, the maximum offer amount and the Huutokaupat.com item number to which the offer applies.

The City of Helsinki is not responsible for the operation of the service provider’s system. The highest offer is the one the service provider’s system has accepted as the highest.

The City of Helsinki reserves the right to end the sale or extend the sales period. 

Offers are binding and the maker of an accepted offer is obliged to enter into the lease agreement and to pay the offered rent and security in accordance with the lease.

Bidders agree to the release of contact details to the City of Helsinki for decision‑making purposes.

The City decides on entering into the lease in accordance with the City of Helsinki’s administrative rules. By participating in the electronic auction the bidder consents to electronic notification of the decision. Electronic notification will be sent to the email address registered in the service provider’s system.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the City of Helsinki for costs arising from organising the failed auction.
