Lease

A lease will be signed with the winning bidder(s) for the period 1 May 2026 – 31 December 2029 with a three-month notice period. The lease is attached to this notice.

The tenant must arrange waste management and any wastewater, electricity and water connections required on the rental area at their own expense.   

Offers

Binding offers are submitted in the bidding procedure held on Huutokaupat.com. Participation requires logging into the system. 

The tender concerns the kiosk site’s monthly rent. The winning bidder undertakes to pay the offered rent for every calendar month of the year and to provide a security deposit equivalent to three months’ rent.

The contract will be awarded to the highest bidder who has also demonstrated sufficient financial and other capacity to meet the obligations under the lease.

Other auction terms

Bids must be submitted in the Huutokaupat.com service by the stated deadline. It is also possible to participate by submitting a written binding offer to the City of Helsinki by 22 March 2026 at 16:00. Arrangements for submitting a written offer must be made in advance (via the "Send a message" button) by no later than 18 March 2026. All offers will be registered as public on the site listing. A written purchase offer is binding and is subject to the same terms as the online auction. The written offer must be signed and must state the bidder’s contact details, the maximum offer amount and the Huutokaupat.com listing number to which the offer relates.

The City of Helsinki is not responsible for the functioning of the service provider’s system. The highest offer is the one accepted as highest by the service provider’s system.

The City of Helsinki reserves the right to end the sale or extend the sales period.

Offers are binding and the successful bidder is obliged to enter into the lease and to pay the offered rent and deposit in accordance with the lease.

Bidders agree to disclose their contact details to the City of Helsinki for decision-making purposes.

The city decides on entering into the lease in accordance with the City of Helsinki’s administrative rules. By participating in the online auction, the bidder consents to electronic notification of the decision. Electronic notification will be sent to the email address provided in the service provider’s system.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must reimburse the City of Helsinki for the costs incurred in arranging the failed auction.
