Lease agreement

A lease will be signed with the winning bidders for the period 1 May 2026 - 31 December 2029 with a three-month notice period. The lease is attached to this notice.

The tenant must arrange waste management and any required wastewater, electricity and water connections on the rented area at their own expense.   

Bids

Binding bids are submitted via the bidding procedure on the Huutokaupat.com website. Participation requires logging into the system. 

The auction concerns the kiosk site's monthly rent. The winning bidder commits to paying the offered rent for every month of the year and to providing a security deposit equal to three months' rent.

The auction is won by the highest bidder who has also demonstrated adequate financial and other capacity to meet the obligations under the lease.

Other auction conditions

Bids must be placed in the Huutokaupat.com service by the specified time. It is also possible to participate by submitting a written binding offer to the City of Helsinki by 22 March 2026 at 16:00. Written offers must be agreed in advance (via the "Send a message" enquiries button) no later than 18 March 2026. All offers will be recorded publicly in the listing. A written purchase offer is binding and the same conditions apply as in the online auction. The written offer must be signed and must include the bidder's contact details, the maximum bid amount and the Huutokaupat.com listing number to which the offer relates.

The City of Helsinki is not responsible for the operation of the service provider's system. The highest bid is the one the service provider's system has accepted as the highest.

The City of Helsinki reserves the right to stop the sale or extend the sale period. 

Bids are binding and the successful bidder is obliged to enter into the lease and to pay the offered price and the security deposit in accordance with the lease.

Bidders agree to disclose contact details to the City of Helsinki for decision-making purposes.

The city decides on entering into the lease in accordance with the City of Helsinki's administrative regulations. By participating in the electronic auction, the bidder consents to electronic notification of the decision. Electronic notification will be sent to the email address provided in the service provider's system.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the City of Helsinki for costs incurred from running the unsuccessful auction.
