Farmland for rent: Pälkänevesi business area, Pälkäne

The municipality of Pälkäne offers municipal arable land for rent at the Pälkänevesi business area for cultivation.

The lease is valid 1 May 2026 - 31 December 2030.

The area for rent comprises the following field parcels:

• 6350412669, in the north‑east corner of the area, 1.80 ha

• 6350076607, in the north‑west corner of the area, 1.12 ha

• 6350161782, on the southern edge of the area, 0.80 ha

i.e. a total of 3.72 ha.

Offers must be submitted for the entire rental area as euros/ha/year.

For example, if the winning bid is €150/ha/year the annual rent will be 3.72 * 150 = €558.

The annual rent is fixed for the duration of the agreement.

There are commercial plots for sale on the municipality's fields in the business area. If a plot is sold during the lease, the municipality has the right to terminate the lease under the conditions recorded therein.

The fields are rented in their current condition. The municipality has no information to offer on possible drainage or previous cultivation condition.

Lease agreements will be signed as soon as possible after the auction ends and the following terms will be included in the agreement:

1. The tenant undertakes to cultivate the leased basic parcels for the whole lease period in accordance with the conditions of environmental support and compensations for natural handicaps and to keep the leased parcels eligible for those supports by applying for them annually.

2. The tenant is obliged to maintain any ditches and culverts located on the rented area during the lease period.

3. The tenant does not have the right to transfer the lease to a third party without the municipality's written consent, except in the case of a generational transfer.

4. The landlord has the right to terminate this agreement partially or completely at the end of a calendar year unless otherwise agreed, by notifying the tenant of termination by the end of October. This requires that the area or part of it is needed for a use other than that under this lease, for example for development according to a local plan. The landlord is obliged to pay reasonable compensation for sowings made before termination that become futile.
