The City Board of Lohja decided on 1 December 2025 (§ 453) to sell the Nummenkylä school property with its movable property by public auction. The sale includes both the main school building and the daycare building, which was completed in 2003 and is fixed to the school. The property is located at Nummenkyläntie 113, 08680 Lohja (Property ID 444-433-1-197).

The school building has a floor area of 1,368 m² and was completed in 1985. Significant alterations were made in 1996, including construction of a sports hall, technical workshop and ancillary spaces, and extension of the ventilation plant to the attic.

In 2003 a prefabricated modular daycare building was constructed and connected to the school. The modular unit can be moved if required.

The property lies within the Lohja local master plan (Taajama) on a PY – public local services zone. There is no residential building on the site and it has no independent building rights. If the buyer plans a change of use or new construction, a zoning variance (deviation permit) must be obtained before a building permit can be issued.

The site has a large yard with a ready sports/play area. The property has its own yard well and there is potential to install ground-source heating boreholes. Chimneys and oil boilers have been swept, and the oil tank inspected/lined. The property has been regularly maintained from a technical perspective.

The land use right for the Rosk’n Roll recycling point located on the property transfers to the buyer as part of the sale. The right is valid until 31 December 2029 and no fee is charged for it.

The property is sold as a whole including movable items of low value; these items will transfer to the buyer without separate compensation. The seller is not responsible for the condition or usability of the movable property.

According to the title and mortgage register, there are no significant encumbrances or restrictions on the property and no pending matters.

Due to the proximity of the motorway, average noise levels in the area are high. Noise is also a significant reason why permanent residential use is not considered justified.
