The seller reserves the right to accept or reject the highest bid. If the highest bidder withdraws from the auction, the City of Helsinki may consider offering the item to the second-highest bidder at the latter’s highest offered price.

The item is sold as a private transaction between users. Huutokaupat.com is not a party to the sale.

The item is sold in the condition and with the equipment stated in the listing and at the time of sale. Participants must inspect the item and the documents themselves before making a binding offer. The buyer may not afterwards rely on any matter that could have been observed during a preliminary inspection or from the documents. By submitting a bid the bidder accepts the condition of the item as is.

The buyer has no right of exchange or return. No warranty is given for the item. Descriptions in the listing are the seller’s estimates only.

Bidders agree that their contact details may be disclosed by Huutokaupat.com to the advertiser to enable the sales decision and its notification.

The sale will be carried out using a contract prepared by the seller. Ownership and possession of the item transfer to the buyer upon signing the contract. The signing date will be agreed with the buyer after the City of Helsinki’s separate sales decision in the matter has become legally valid (approximately 21 days). The purchase price must be paid at the latest at the signing event, where proof of payment is normally presented. The buyer is responsible for the transfer tax.

Bidding period

2 December 2025 – 20 January 2026

The bidding period starts on 2 December 2025 and ends on 20 January 2026 at 13:00 or 3 minutes after the last accepted bid. Bids must be placed in the Huutokaupat.com service by the stated time.

It is also possible to participate in the auction by submitting a written binding offer to the seller's representative by 16 January 2026 at 10:00. Submitting a written offer must be arranged in advance with the seller's representative. All offers will be recorded as public in the item’s listing. A written purchase offer is binding and the same terms apply as in the online auction. Buyers agree to record all offers in the system.

A written purchase offer must be signed and must state the offeror’s contact details, the maximum amount of the offer and the Huutokaupat.com service item number to which the offer applies.

The Department of Urban Environment is not responsible for the functionality of the service provider’s system. The highest bid is the bid that the service provider’s system has accepted as the highest.

Bids placed in the online auction are binding. If a bid is accepted, the bidder is obliged to pay the offered purchase price within the agreed payment period.

The City of Helsinki, Department of Urban Environment reserves the right to suspend the auction or extend the sales period.

Offers

The City of Helsinki, Department of Urban Environment reserves the right to request further information and clarifications from a bidder and to reject all offers. The choice of buyer will be notified to all bidders.

Conditions for acceptance of an offer

Acceptance of an offer requires that the buyer has no adverse credit entries and that neither the buyer, the buyer’s owner nor any party exercising control over the buyer is subject to sanctions imposed by the European Union or the United Nations. By placing a bid the buyer warrants that these conditions are met.

Final acceptance of an offer also requires a separate sales decision by the competent official or body of the City of Helsinki.

Inspection of the item

By submitting a bid the participant accepts the condition of the item as is.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the seller for costs caused by the failed auction amounting to 4% of the accepted bid price.

If the highest bidder withdraws and the City of Helsinki offers the item to the second-highest bidder, and that second-highest bidder withdraws after the sales decision, a cancellation fee corresponding to 4% of the accepted bid price will be charged.

Conclusion of the sale

The purchase price must be paid in full and the contract signed within two months of the end of the auction, unless otherwise agreed with the seller.
