Toyota Corolla, 2008, Kuopio

When humanity goes extinct, only cockroaches and this Corolla will remain

Looking for a car that will not make your neighbours jealous, but will amaze mechanics with its reliability? Stop looking. Here is the aristocracy of Finnish cars, equipped with the legendary two-litre D-4D diesel engine. This machine does not consume fuel – it merely sniffs it and carries on past every petrol station!

If you want a car to show off outside a nightclub, keep scrolling. But if you want a car that works more reliably than a tax authority contacting you, get your bid in!

On the road, the car performs sensibly, but even this diamond needs a little work:

• A few rusty spots underneath

• The brake pads should be replaced

A capable person could sort these out as a one-evening project, but we also asked for a repair estimate: approximately €500. These works would also get the car a fresh inspection approval.

The servicing has been carried out well:
