Volvo S60, 2007, Joensuu

Now up for auction: a rare and striking Volvo S60 R AWD in stunning Titanium Grey Pearl metallic! This is a genuine R model, offering 300 horsepower, all-wheel drive and an excellent level of equipment. The car was imported from Sweden and registered in Finland in 2023. This vehicle underwent a very comprehensive condition inspection in September 2026, following which extensive servicing was carried out. A superb, heavily serviced car for its next owner, with only a little tinkering left to extinguish the engine warning light.

STUNNING R EQUIPMENT AND COMFORT

R exterior: R front bumper with enlarged air intakes, R rear spoiler and R exhaust system.

R interior: Blue-faced “Chronograph” R instrument cluster, R-style leather seats, 3-spoke R leather steering wheel and brushed aluminium trim.

Chassis: Adjustable Four-C R sports chassis – standard shock absorbers have been installed in place of the electronic ones, and the car reports that the system is not working correctly. Nevertheless, the chassis is excellent to drive.

Comfort and interior: Electric glass sunroof, leather interior, electrically adjustable front seats (driver’s seat with memory settings), automatic climate control and heated seats.

Technology and lights: Xenon headlights, auxiliary light, fog lights, cruise control and rain sensor.

Entertainment: Aftermarket Kenwood media player (Bluetooth, AUX, USB, CD/radio).

Wheels and tyres: Two sets of tyres on alloy wheels. The damaged summer tyres identified during the inspection have just been replaced with brand-new summer tyres!

JUST EXTENSIVELY SERVICED AND RESTORED (09–10/2026)

A thorough condition inspection was carried out in September 2026. Based on it, nearly all detected faults and deficiencies were comprehensively repaired at a professional workshop:

Timing system renewed: The timing belt kit and water pump were replaced with new parts. The auxiliary belt and belt tensioner were also replaced.

Oil leaks fully repaired: The solenoid seals, crankshaft seal and oil pump seals were replaced to repair engine oil leaks. The entire timing-belt side and underside of the engine were cleaned of oil.

New windscreen: The windscreen was replaced due to a crack.

Electrical and lighting faults repaired: The corroded wiring harness for the non-functioning front fog light was cleaned and repaired. The non-approved LED bulbs in the reversing lights were also replaced with standard bulbs.

Brakes: The handbrake was tightened and its travel adjusted to normal.

NOTE FOR THE NEXT OWNER (A LITTLE TINKERING REQUIRED):

All major technical repairs and safety-related deficiencies identified in the condition inspection (see attachment) have been repaired, but the engine warning light is currently on. The fault has been investigated by a workshop, with the following diagnosis (all workshop documents are included in the attachments):

“The car has an aftermarket performance downpipe fitted with a very small catalytic converter. The catalytic converter’s cleaning efficiency is insufficient, causing the car to display fault code (ECM-221C) due to an excessively high signal from the second lambda sensor.

The engine management system has probably been reprogrammed, preventing the CEM control unit from communicating correctly and generating fault code (ECM-5110). Due to the programming or a fault, the signal from the first lambda sensor is also missing (ECM-24BB).

The system also has a code for a leak in the fuel tank system (ECM-439C). This is probably because the EVAP system has been disabled or has a leak.”

Repair recommendation: The workshop recommends returning the engine management software and downpipe to their original specifications so that all fault codes and the engine warning light can be cleared and the systems can communicate correctly with each other.

A truly fine, powerful and recently comprehensively serviced R Volvo for someone, which can be made perfect with a little work on the software and exhaust system!
