When we started designing log saunas, we aimed to achieve the authentic atmosphere of a Finnish sauna and the ease of taking a sauna. We want to offer saunas for different purposes, and the traditional log sauna with a changing room is especially intended for those who want to enjoy the gentle steam of a yard sauna in a traditional style, easily. This log sauna does not fuss over unnecessary extras – it has good basic benches, a practical changing room and an excellent Harvia stove with a glass door. From the log sauna you can step out in an instant onto the small terrace to cool off, and when your toes start to sting from the chill, you can continue cooling off in the warmer changing room or jump back onto the benches waiting hot. Just add more wood to the firebox, listen to the hypnotic hum of the wood-burning stove and enjoy the excellent steam on top. There is always something magical about sauna bathing in the yard. Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s quality saunas are built spaciously, while making compact use of space. The traditional log sauna with a changing room and front terrace is just the right size for 4–6 people. From inside, you can go sauna bathing in a sauna robe or take off your clothes in the handy changing room. Of course, you can also dash across the yard to the sauna in the costume of Adam or Eve, but in that case you need to be careful not to make the neighbour’s granny choke on her coffee.

The heart of this log sauna is the Harvia M3 stove with a glass door. A stove with a glass door creates an atmospheric glow of fire in the sauna, especially in autumn and winter. Add the optional integrated water tank and you will have warm wash water for bathers, so you do not need a shower for basic washing. The sauna’s highest point is almost 2.5 m and the whole structure is just under 5 m long. The sturdy and safe chimney package is, of course, included in the delivery package. Remember to always use fire carefully and responsibly.

The Sauna-Seppo wash water filter available as an accessory removes dirty-water worries, because wash water led through the filter can be returned to nature and building control will not start issuing environmental fines.

Honestly built from logs

We manufacture the traditional log sauna with a changing room and front terrace from handsome Finnish spruce logs measuring 45 x 145 mm. Anything made of wood is always a warm and ecological choice. The sauna has spruce benches in two tiers, and a window brings light into the sauna. The changing room has two windows, one of which is in the door. The windows are top-quality double-glazed units with aluminium frames that keep the heat inside.

You will be assembling it soon!

We are happy to deliver the whole package all the way to your home, and you do not need lifting equipment when you choose delivery by HIAB truck. The package includes eaves boards, a complete black felt shingle roof set, felt roofing nails, a lockable external door with fittings, and also the terrace floor boards. At present, a building permit is still required for constructing the sauna, but we can provide architectural drawings for the permit. The foundations are the customer’s responsibility. You can receive the instructions and building permit drawings that come with the sauna in advance if you wish, so when the delivery arrives you can simply start getting your new handsome yard sauna ready for use. You will need a drill, screwdriver, hammer, saw, tape measure, pencil and a calm enthusiasm for assembly. Always read the instructions carefully before carrying out each step.

At Hyvän Kaupan Paikka, someone is always on duty. We offer customer support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or as they say nowadays, 24/7. Few people build their home at night, but we will answer then too if something about assembling the product puzzles you. The instructions included with the building kits will help with assembly, and you can also find assembly videos on YouTube that make it easier to understand the construction work. You are not alone with your outbuilding, because we are here to support you!
