Every night in the Arctic Sky kota is an adventure! The three roof windows above the bed open the sky right above the sleeper’s head as if you were sleeping outdoors. Through the log walls you feel close to nature. The walls and roof keep unwanted things — like rain and midges — outside. The downside is you may not want to sleep at all. The sky that unfolds before your eyes is part of the endless story of space and you’ll want to watch the show to the end. Fortunately, the next night there’s a new performance in your kota.

Arctic Sky suits daydreamers, romantic couples, telescope users, meteor watchers and lazybed loungers equally well. One kota, many stories. Arctic Sky is the gateway to sleepy adventures or simply sweet nights under the arctic sky.

Heavenly sleep therapy

Lying in the Arctic Sky kota is like a small mental-health gift every time. Stress and hurry stay outside the log walls when you lie beneath the roof windows and let the light or starlight filter into your senses. Breathing calms, heart rate drops and the mind rests thanks to Arctic Sky’s therapeutic effect. If you buy an Arctic Sky as guest accommodation, you may find yourself moving guests into your house while you sleep outside in your own star theatre. Arctic Sky is perfect for romantic moments with your loved one — you might even sing a ballad about the heavens.

Transparent roof

Garden cabins often use easily scratched acrylic windows and plastic roofing. At Hyvän Kaupan Paikka we prefer better materials. Arctic Sky’s windows are double-glazed and the roof windows are 8 mm tempered glass, so they are also easy to keep clean. The amount of light in the kota increases dramatically! Small windows also allow easy ventilation as they can be opened.

Option for a small kitchenette

Arctic Sky offers versatile possibilities for use as an accommodation cabin. You enter the kota through a rectangular vestibule of about 2 m. The approx. 2 m vestibule can double as a small kitchenette if you place a sideboard with a coffee maker and toaster or a mini fridge. The opposite wall can take coat hooks and a bench or a small cabinet or shelf. Interior possibilities are almost endless. Finish the interior with LED lighting, which is easy to fit into Arctic Sky’s profiles. The customer is responsible for electrical work, as these kota are located in many different places and uses, so fixed electrics are not supplied.

Bed to suit your needs

Firm or soft, fixed or sprung – there are so many bed options that we do not include any particular model in the base delivery. A 140–160 cm double bed fits ideally in the centre of the kota directly under the glass roof. The kota can also take two single beds or a small sofa-bed that can be pulled out when needed. There is room for a small bedside table or a chair for clothes. Add curtains to the windows and a warming rug on the floor to complete the cosy interior. In cooler weather you can add an electric fan heater to supply extra warmth and reduce excess humidity.

Hassle-free, time-saving delivery to your garden

Arctic Sky is not a small package; it has size and weight. Therefore we deliver mostly ready-made elements to your garden. The roof, walls and floors arrive as elements. The elements’ bottom beams are pressure-treated and roofing felt is included. Foundation work is the customer’s responsibility, but to help you we offer a pressure-treated base frame for the kota and sauna at an extra cost. The base frame for the kota comes in two elements and the sauna base is easy to assemble from pre-cut timber. You can request assembly instructions and building permit drawings in advance so you can start assembling Arctic Sky on delivery day. You will need a drill, screwdriver, hammer, saw, tape measure, pencil and patient enthusiasm. Always read the instructions carefully before starting work.

Someone is always on call

We at Hyvän Kaupan Paikka always have someone on call. We offer customer support 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7). Few people assemble their garden building at night, but we can answer questions even then if something puzzles you during assembly. The assembly instructions that come with the kit help a lot, and there are also YouTube videos to aid understanding. You won’t be left alone with your project — we’re here to help!
