Buildings

The dairy, protected by the local detailed plan, was completed in 1923. The dairy is architecturally, historically and townscape-wise valuable and may not be demolished. The dairy has a total floor area of approximately 2,550 m², of which the first floor is about 1,500 m², the second about 865 m² and the attic about 185 m². The building volume is approximately 9,300 m³. The dairy was used for dairy purposes from the 1920s until the late 1980s. After that the dairy has housed, for example, a food factory, and spaces have been used as offices, housing and by associations and businesses. Extensions, alterations and repairs have been made to the dairy in several phases during its history. The dairy’s boiler-house wing contains a district heating backup plant. The building is in poor condition: the standing-seam metal roof leaks in several places, exterior wall renders are cracked and falling, water points have been removed due to broken drains, and ventilation is inadequate.

The historically valuable protected "Munala" building was completed in 1905. According to the building register Munala’s floor area is 231 m². The condition of the building is poor.

Vacant, demolition‑condition (water damage) terraced house building, Jukola, was built in 1900 and contains six poor-condition apartments. In addition, the plot includes a storage building from the early 1920s and two wood sheds from the 1930s. These, as well as the Cheese House adjacent to the dairy, may be demolished and there is a building right of 2,300 kem.

Property tax      

The seller has not determined the amount or basis for the property tax. The city does not pay property tax to itself for its area, so this information is not available.

Current use

Several tenants currently occupy the premises. Lease agreements will transfer to the new owner with the sale.

Inspection of the property

Bidders are obliged to inspect this property carefully before making an offer. The buyer may not later rely on any matter that could have been observed during a prior inspection. The property will be sold only to the highest registered bidder who has inspected the property.
