Metsähallitus is selling, via the www.huutokaupat.com website and based on bids placed there, the YLIANTTILA I shareholding belonging to the Pääkallo joint forest in an online auction between 20 April – 18 May 2026. The shareholding includes 6,778 shares of the Pääkallo joint forest (6,778 / 105,436). The property ID of the YLIANTTILA I shareholding for sale is 425-455-18-1; it has no private plots, i.e. it is a shareholding (a so-called 'ghost' holding) consisting of shares in the joint forest.

The Pääkallo joint forest was established in 2015 and has forest areas in the municipalities of Liminka and Muhos. The joint forest covers a total area of approx. 756 ha, of which approx. 415 ha are forest land, and its registered office is in Kempele.

The joint forest has been managed according to the 2016–2025 forest management plan, which was updated in 2025 for the years 2026–2035. The updated plan proposes planned fellings of approx. 11,000 m³ over a 10‑year period (approx. 1,100 m³/year). The shareholders' association decides on distribution of surplus and monitors the progress of the fellings. The shareholders' association has a land lease agreement related to a wind power project, which will lapse during 2026 unless the project proceeds; according to the joint forest administration, progression is unlikely.

Withdrawal from the sale

A party who refuses to complete the purchase must, under the Land Code, compensate the other party for reasonable costs incurred for advertising, inspecting the property and other necessary actions related to concluding the sale.
