Lease agreement

Lease agreements will be signed with the winning bidders for the period 1 May 2026 - 31 December 2029, with three months’ notice. The lease agreement is attached to this notice.

The tenant must arrange waste management and any required wastewater, electricity and water connections on the rental area at their own expense.   

Offers

Binding offers are submitted in the auction procedure on Huutokaupat.com. Participation requires logging into the system. 

The auction concerns the kiosk site’s monthly rent. The auction winner undertakes to pay the offered rent for every month of the year and to provide a security deposit equal to three months’ rent.

The auction will be won by the highest bidder who has also demonstrated sufficient financial and other capacity to meet the obligations under the lease agreement.

Other auction conditions

Bids (auctions) must be made in the Huutokaupat.com service by the time specified. It is also possible to participate in the auction in writing by submitting a written, binding offer to the City of Helsinki by 22 March 2026 at 16:00. Advance arrangements must be made for submitting a written offer (via the "Send a message" enquiries button) no later than 18 March 2026. All offers will be recorded publicly in the property listing. A written purchase offer is binding and is subject to the same terms as the online auction. The written offer must be signed and must include the bidder’s contact details, the maximum offer amount and the Huutokaupat.com service listing number to which the offer relates.

The City of Helsinki is not responsible for the service provider’s system functionality. The highest offer is the one the service provider’s system has accepted as highest.

The City of Helsinki reserves the right to end the sale or extend the sale period. 

Offers are binding and the successful bidder is obliged to enter into the lease agreement and to pay the offered rent and the security deposit in accordance with the lease.

Bidders agree to the transfer of their contact details to the City of Helsinki for the purposes of decision-making.

The city will decide on entering into the lease in accordance with the City of Helsinki’s administrative rules. By participating in the electronic auction the bidder consents to electronic notification of the decision. Electronic notification will be sent to the email address provided to the service provider’s system.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the City of Helsinki for the costs incurred in organising the failed auction.
