Lease agreement

Lease agreements will be made with the winning bidders for the period 01/05/2026 - 31/12/2029 with a three‑month notice period. The lease agreement is attached to this notice.

The tenant must arrange, at their own expense, the waste management and the required wastewater, electricity and water connections for the rental area.

Bids

Binding bids are submitted in the bidding procedure held on Huutokaupat.com. Participation requires registration in the system.

The auction concerns the kiosk space's monthly rent. The winning bidder commits to paying the offered rent for every month of the year and to providing a security deposit equivalent to three months' rent.

The auction is won by the highest bidder who has also demonstrated sufficient financial and other capacity to meet the obligations under the lease.

Other auction conditions

Bids (calls) are made in the Huutokaupat.com service by the stated deadline. It is also possible to participate in the auction by submitting a written binding offer to the City of Helsinki by 22/03/2026 at 16:00. The submission of a written offer must be agreed in advance (via the "Send message" contact) no later than 18/03/2026. All offers will be recorded as public on the site's announcement. A written purchase offer is binding and is subject to the same terms as the online auction. The written offer must be signed and must state the bidder's contact details, the maximum amount of the offer and the Huutokaupat.com service's item number to which the offer relates.

The City of Helsinki is not responsible for the service provider's system functionality. The highest bid is the one the service provider's system has accepted as highest.

The City of Helsinki reserves the right to stop the sale or to extend the sale period.

Offers are binding and the maker of an accepted offer is obliged to enter into the lease and to pay the offered price and the required security deposit in accordance with the lease.

Bidders agree to disclose their contact details to the City of Helsinki for decision‑making purposes.

The City decides on entering into the lease in accordance with the City of Helsinki's administrative rules. By participating in the electronic auction the bidder consents to electronic notification of the decision. Electronic notification will be sent to the email address provided to the service provider's system.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the City of Helsinki for costs arising from the failed auction.
