City of Espoo rents out an ice-cream kiosk location in Leppävaara for the 2026 summer season, Espoo

The rental permit acquired by the winning and accepted bid in the auction (hereinafter the “Rental Permit”) entitles the holder to rent from the City of Espoo, under the terms of the lease attached to the auction notice, an area of approximately 15 m² shown on the map attached to the notice, on which a lightweight ice-cream kiosk may be placed (hereinafter the “Sales place”) for the period 1 April 2026 - 30 September 2026. The Rental Permit holder may also rent the Sales place for a shorter period, e.g. 1 May 2026 - 31 August 2026.

The use of the Sales place requires signing the lease concerning the Sales place between the auction winner and the City of Espoo. By participating in the auction for the Rental Permit, the bidder confirms having carefully read the terms of the lease attached to this notice and accepts them as they are.

The auction winner must submit the attached rental application form, duly completed, to the City of Espoo Plot Unit within five (5) days of the close of the auction.

The highest winning bid in the auction constitutes one (1) month’s rent for the Sales place. The Rental Permit holder is obliged to pay the first month’s rent in advance after the auction closes, in accordance with a separate invoice sent by the City of Espoo. The invoice will be sent after the rental application is received, with the payment due immediately. Signing the lease is conditional on the auction winner having paid the first month’s rent to the City on time and in full.

The remainder of the rent for the 2026 summer season for the Sales place will be invoiced separately in accordance with the lease. The monthly rent amount is the same for each month and is determined by the winning auction bid.

If the Rental Permit holder neglects to submit the rental application or to pay the first month’s rent in advance in accordance with the City’s invoice, the City reserves the unilateral right to offer the Sales place for rent to third parties. In that case, the auction winner permanently loses their preferential right to rent the Sales place under the Rental Permit.

The Sales place may be used only for ordinary ice-cream kiosk activities. Carrying out other activities at the Sales place gives the City of Espoo the right to terminate the lease and to claim contractual penalties as specified in the lease terms.

The bidder is responsible for having carefully inspected the Sales place and its immediate surroundings in advance.

The bidder accepts that similar activities may be carried out in the vicinity of the Sales place.

By participating in this auction the bidder accepts these terms and confirms having carefully read all attachments to the notice and accepting them as they are.

The City of Espoo reserves the right to reject any offer.
