The seller reserves the right to accept or reject the highest bid. If the highest bidder withdraws from the auction, the City of Helsinki may consider offering the item to the second-highest bidder at that bidder’s highest offered price.

The item is sold as a transaction between users. Huutokaupat.com is not a party to the sale.

The item is sold in the condition and with the equipment stated in the listing and as it is at the time of sale. Anyone participating in the auction is obliged to inspect the item and any documents before making a binding bid. The buyer cannot later rely on any matter that would have been apparent on inspection or from the documents. By placing a bid, the bidder accepts the condition of the item as is.

The buyer has no right of exchange or return. No warranty is given for the item. Descriptions in the listing are the seller’s estimates of the item for sale only.

Bidders agree that their contact details may be disclosed by Huutokaupat.com to the seller to enable the sale decision and related notification.

Sale will be concluded using a deed of sale prepared by the seller. Ownership and possession transfer to the buyer upon signing the deed. The time for signing the deed will be agreed with the buyer after a separate sale decision by the City of Helsinki has become final (approximately 21 days). The purchase price must be paid no later than at the signing meeting, where a receipt for payment is normally presented. The buyer is responsible for transfer tax.

Bidding period

2 December 2025 – 20 January 2026

The bidding period starts on 2 December 2025 and ends on 20 January 2026 at 13:00 or three minutes after the last accepted bid. Bids are to be made in the Huutokaupat.com service by the stated time.

It is also possible to participate by submitting a written, binding offer to the seller’s representative by 16 January 2026 at 10:00. Submitting a written offer must be agreed in advance with the seller’s representative. All offers will be registered publicly in the item’s listing. A written purchase offer is binding and is subject to the same terms as the online auction. Buyers undertake to record all offers in the system.

A written purchase offer must be signed and must state the offeror’s contact details, the maximum amount of the offer and the Huutokaupat.com item number to which the offer applies.

The Urban Environment Division is not responsible for the operation of the service provider’s system. The highest bid is the one the service provider’s system has accepted as highest.

Bids placed in the online auction are binding. If a bid is accepted, the bidder is obliged to pay the offered purchase price within the agreed payment period.

The City of Helsinki, Urban Environment Division, reserves the right to interrupt the auction or extend the sales period.

Offers

The City of Helsinki, Urban Environment Division reserves the right to request further information and clarifications from a bidder and to reject all offers. All bidders will be notified of the buyer selection.

Conditions for acceptance of a bid

Acceptance of a bid requires that the buyer has no adverse entries in their credit information and that the buyer, the buyer’s owner entity or any party controlling the buyer is not subject to sanctions imposed by the European Union or the United Nations. By making a bid, the buyer guarantees that these conditions are met.

Final acceptance of a bid also requires a separate sale decision by the competent official or body of the City of Helsinki.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the seller for the costs of the failed auction equal to 4% of the accepted bid price.

If the highest bidder withdraws and the City of Helsinki offers the item to the second-highest bidder, and the second-highest bidder withdraws after the sale decision, a cancellation fee equal to 4% of the accepted bid price will be charged.

Conclusion of sale

The purchase price must be paid in full and the deed must be signed within two months of the end of the auction, unless otherwise agreed with the seller.
