Winter is coming, are you ready? Well, neither am I, but the Quattro is! An A3 Audi with the rarer large engine!
I took the Audi for a reasonable test drive; considering its age and mileage, it drives well. Lowering springs have been fitted to the suspension and approved in a modification inspection, so the handling is firm and sporty. The engine runs smoothly, and the DSG seemed to work properly and logically. There was no play in the steering, and I noticed no major knocks from the suspension. In other words, a sound and sporty package to drive, accompanied by great VR6 sounds!
Body condition: Generally presentable with straight panels; small beginnings of rust around the body. (See photos)
Interior condition: Considering its age and mileage, I think the interior is tidy, with no bad smells either. (See photos)
Windscreen: Intact and clear, suitable for driving
Tyres: 1 set of wheels and tyres: the 17" alloys shown in the photos, fitted with Continental winter tyres. Tread approximately 4–5 mm.
Service history: The car has an excellent service history; timing chain replaced in 2019 at 143,000 km. The service book has been photographed, as have most of the receipts; there are a great many receipts. The car was also rust-proofed at the time, with photos of this too. (See photos)
