A tidy Volvo, freshly inspected, looking for a new home, perhaps as a project. I do not have the motivation to put it right myself.

Before me, it belonged to one family from new, since 1987, so it is a Finnish car.

The interior is in good condition. The body has some scratches and traces of rust repairs. The brakes work. Everything is original; it has not been modified or ruined.

I have driven the car for 1,000 kilometres myself, and no other issues have appeared besides those listed below.

So the car can be driven home after the purchase.

Regular servicing carried out on time:

  • Engine oil

  • Gearbox oil

  • Differential oil

  • Timing belt, tensioner and seal

  • Distributor cap, rotor and ignition leads

  • Starter motor replaced

Other repairs have certainly been carried out, but I have no information about them.

Defects

  • The clutch adjustment is at its limit. It is not slipping, but replacement will soon be due.

  • One brake light is not working.

  • Electrical work is needed: wiring and connections need replacing, and wiring needs to be removed from the boot, behind the centre console, under the driver's footwell and in the engine bay. (The necessary wiring was replaced for the inspection.)

  • The fuel gauge does not work.

  • On cold mornings it takes longer to start than it should (starts immediately with the heater).

The vehicle must be collected within 7 days of the auction ending unless otherwise agreed - Huutokaupat.com.
