The car was in a minor collision with a deer years ago. There is a dent in the bonnet and the bonnet is slightly banana-shaped. The gearbox jerks when shifting from 2->3. I called a local Mercedes wizard about this and he knew to say that the same has happened in others too, and the cause was a stuck valve in the valve body.
