History

The building was erected in 1926 by the Jakobstad Finnish Workers' Association after a fire. Over the years it has housed, among others, Varma, Restaurant Fregatt, Ludwigs Disco, Jehovah's Witnesses and, from 1982, Restaurant Ebba. Pub operations ceased in February 2020.

The building's architect is unknown because the original drawings have been lost.
