Old farmstead courtyard with private shoreline in Nilsiä, Kuopio

Old farmyard on its own shoreline between two waterways in the majestic Pisan landscape. The area to be separated as a plot is about 1.4 ha. The plot has about 100 m of shoreline on Ala-Siikajärvi. Water connection to Vuotjärvi and onwards to Kallavesi. The plot to be separated includes attractive birch woodland and varied younger forest. The plot is mostly in a natural state and slopes gently towards the shore.

The log‑framed residential building has a floor area of 131 m²; there is also an old cowshed on the yard of about 200 m². The cowshed contains a large quantity of firewood. There is also an ancient log store/granary and a timber shed. A condition inspection was carried out on 1 June 2026. No moisture was detected in the house, but there are some old rot damages in places that require repair. The house is, however, habitable. The house is supplied with water from a spring by pump. The water has been used for drinking, but no recent water tests have been carried out. Interior surfaces and plumbing were renewed in 2011, and a private wastewater system was installed at the same time.

The yard is designated as an AM area in the plan, with no restricted building rights. It is possible to build e.g. a machine hall or a lakeside sauna, etc.

The sellers have not lived on the property and do not know the buildings' condition beyond what is stated in the inspection report. The property and its contents are sold as they are at the time of sale. The buyer is aware of this and accepts the risk of any potential hidden defects in the structures. The seller is not liable for defects, damages or shortcomings that have been disclosed to the buyer, that the buyer has otherwise noticed, or that the buyer should have noticed. The buyer accepts the property and buildings in the condition they were shown.

This is a peaceful, idyllic place suitable either for permanent living or as a summer retreat for someone who enjoys varied activities. There is the possibility to apply for membership in the local hunting club. Ala-Siikajärvi is known as a fish-rich lake, so fishing waters are available right from the back yard.
