When we began designing log saunas, we aimed to capture the authentic Finnish sauna atmosphere and make sauna use easy. We want to offer saunas for different purposes, and the traditional log sauna with changing room is especially for those who want gentle yard-sauna steam in an easy, traditional style. This log sauna keeps things simple – it has solid basic benches, a handy changing room and an excellent Harvia stove with a glass door. From the sauna you can step out quickly to a small terrace to cool off, and when your toes start to feel the chill you can continue cooling in the slightly warmer changing room or hop back onto the hot benches waiting for you. Just add more wood to the fire, listen to the hypnotic hum of the wood-fired stove and enjoy the lovely steam. There is always something magical about sauna-ing in the yard. Leave clothes or robes in the changing room

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s high-quality saunas are built spaciously with compact use of space. The Traditional log sauna with changing room and front terrace is just the right size for 4–6 people. You can go into the sauna wearing robes or leave your clothes in the handy changing room. Of course you can dash to the sauna across the yard in Adam’s or Eve’s outfit, but in that case be careful not to cause a neighbourly scandal.

The heart of this log sauna is the Harvia M3 stove with a glass door. The glass door provides atmospheric flame-lighting in the sauna, especially in autumn and winter. Add the optional integrated water tank to the stove and you’ll have hot wash water for bathers, so you won’t need a shower for basic washing. The highest point of the sauna is almost 2.5 metres and the overall length is just under five metres. A sturdy and safe chimney kit is naturally included. Remember to use fire carefully and responsibly.

An optional Sauna-Seppo wash-water filter removes dirty wash water worries, as wash water routed through the filter may be released back into nature without the building control starting to write environmental fines.

Honestly built from logs

We manufacture the Traditional log sauna with changing room and front terrace from handsome Finnish 45 x 145 mm spruce logs. Wood-built is always a warm and ecological choice. The sauna has two-tier spruce benches and light is brought into the sauna by a window. The changing room has two windows, one of which is in the door. The windows are top-quality aluminium-framed thermal glass windows that keep heat inside.

Soon you’ll start assembling!

We are happy to deliver the whole package to your yard and you do not need lifting equipment if you choose delivery by HIAB truck. The package includes eaves boards, a complete black felt roofing set, roofing nails, a lockable external door with fittings and terrace floorboards. At the moment planning permission is required to build the sauna, but we provide architectural drawings for the planning application. Foundation work is the customer’s responsibility. If you request them in advance, you will receive the assembly instructions and planning-permission drawings so that when the delivery arrives you can start building your new impressive yard sauna straight away. You will need a drill, screwdriver, hammer, saw, tape measure, pencil and a calm enthusiasm for assembly. Always read the instructions carefully before each work phase.

At Hyvän Kaupan Paikka someone is always on duty. We offer customer support 24 hours a day, seven days a week — 24/7. Few build their home at night, but we will answer if you need help with assembly then too. The assembly instructions included with the building kits help with assembly and you can also find assembly videos on YouTube that make the building work easier to visualise. You will not be left alone with your yard building — we are here to support you!
