Daily-driven, inexpensive family car used for school runs. This vehicle also has a heated steering wheel and an inline heater installed — not one of those weak plug-in heaters they often are.


A reliable, cheap and economical everyday car. Interior tidy. No mildew, pet, tobacco or strong-perfume smells.


Service book available and fairly regularly stamped. Timing belt and water pump have been replaced.


Oil changed to 5W-30 + filter, air filter, coolant and spark plugs replaced at 210,000 km.

Work to be done:

  • Suspension knocks — a very “sharp” clunk over potholes. Not investigated.

  • Coolant occasionally needs topping up; not a lot, but it slowly disappears from the expansion tank. Could be a leaking water-pump seal (the water pump has been replaced — possibly poorly fitted), the EGR area on the left side of the engine near the oil filter, or the head gasket. Not investigated; coolant has been topped up as needed and the car has been driven happily.

  • Some local rust and small dents; slightly larger dents on the edge of the bonnet.

  • Windscreen cracked — one horizontal crack on the right-hand edge. Is this visible in the photos?
