VW Beetle 1200 Standard.

MOT passed 17 April 2026, valid until 2 May 2028.

Nearly rust-free. No rust on the underside.

Work carried out in the past couple of years:

-Carburettor cleaned in an ultrasonic bath + new carburettor gaskets fitted

-Wheels powder-coated

-New Vitour Galaxy whitewall tyres, 381 mm (15 inch)

-Driver's seat reupholstered in original fabric. Other seats are intact. The same fabric is included in the sale if you wish to reupholster the rest.

-Gearbox repaired: fourth-gear engagement ring replaced with a newer-type part and a new engagement sleeve with an improved contact angle. Synchro rings measured, all within tolerances.

-One heat exchanger replaced.

-New spark plugs + plug leads, valves adjusted, ignition timing adjusted.

-Battery replaced

-Front wheel bearings replaced

-Fuel pump replaced

-Alternator belt replaced, alternator refurbished + new brushes

-Fuel filter + engine-bay fuel hoses replaced

-Fuel tap + internal tank filter + fuel hose from the tank replaced

-Fuel tank cleaned internally

-Engine oil changed every summer, Classic 20W-50

-Brakes stripped, parts renewed and reconditioned

-Brake pipes to the rear axle replaced

-Gearbox mount rubbers replaced

-Engine-bay seal replaced

Other:

-The engine hesitates slightly when accelerating cold. Idle is steady. Starts well.

-The paint is not original. Attractively patinated.

-Original black licence plates

-Two keys
