For some reason the year is 1989 even though the round-headlamp models apparently ended earlier — perhaps it was a chassis for a few years before being built into a recovery truck? It has always been a recovery truck and began its career in Sweden.

The truck has 10‑tonne and 30‑tonne winches, a boom with two extensions — great reach. Heavy‑duty wheel lifts, a Teleradio remote control and standard forks are included (not all forks are included; there is currently a double quantity). A pulling boom and low and high sleeves/adapters for the forks. Large lockers, the fuel tank, batteries and air tanks have been moved into the boom well to maximise locker space on both sides. Tool boards and lockers remain with the truck.

NOTE! The so‑called VDZ system (nose‑mounted brackets) is included — without these you can hardly recover 2000s‑era lorries. Brackets for Volvo, Scania, Sisu, Renault, DAF, Mercedes and VDL at least are available; there are several types for Volvo. The purchase price of these brackets alone is already over €10,000, so bear that in mind when bidding.

The truck was sand‑blasted and repainted a couple of years ago and is still in fairly tidy condition. Onspot chain dispensers are also available for this truck and can be included; they have not been fitted to the truck while in our possession.

The vehicle will be inspected before handover to the buyer.

Defects and other observations

The outrigger and lifting‑boom cylinders are leaking; the inspector did not comment but these will need attention at some point as leaks usually do not improve with time.

The truck is old and there are paint blisters and small areas of corrosion on the cab corners.

The truck is a 35‑year‑old heavy wrecker so there will certainly be items to repair. The silencer (exhaust) leaks slightly. The truck has air conditioning but the compressor mounting needs repair if you want it working. The instrument cluster shows the air‑filter blockage warning light and the tachometer sometimes behaves erratically.
