Bids made in the auction are binding. If a bid is accepted, the bidder is obliged to pay the offered purchase price within the agreed payment period. Failure to pay the offered purchase price may give rise to liability for compensation.

If the highest binding bidder makes an unfounded bid, they must pay a penalty of €1,000 to the seller within 3 days to cover costs incurred.

The competent authority of the City of Alajärvi reserves the right to accept or reject the highest bid. The final highest offered purchase price requires approval by the Alajärvi City Board and a separate sales decision.

The offer will be processed by the competent authority of the City of Alajärvi.

Conclusion of sale

The buyer must pay the purchase price and it must be paid at the signing of the deed.

The buyer is responsible for the transfer tax arising from this purchase.

The buyer acquires ownership of the property after the competent authority of the City of Alajärvi has made the sales decision, the deed has been signed and the purchase price has been paid.

NOTE!

The highest bidder must pay a reservation fee of €500.00 (five hundred euros) within 3 days of the auction’s end to the account indicated by the city. The reservation fee will be refunded when the purchase price for the plot has been paid in full within the given time limit. No interest will be paid on the reservation fee.
