Lease agreement

A lease will be concluded with the winning bidders for the period 1 May 2026 – 31 December 2029 with three months' notice. The lease is attached to this notice.

The tenant must arrange, at their own expense, the waste management and the necessary wastewater, electricity and water connections for the rental area.   

Offers

Binding offers are submitted in the bidding procedure held on Huutokaupat.com. Participation requires registration in the system. 

The auction concerns the kiosk space's monthly rent. The winning bidder undertakes to pay the offered rent for every month of the year and to provide a security deposit equivalent to three months' rent.

The auction is won by the highest bidder who has also demonstrated sufficient financial and other capacity to meet the obligations under the lease.

Other auction terms

Bids (calls) must be made on the Huutokaupat.com service by the time indicated. Participation in the auction is also possible by submitting a written binding offer to the City of Helsinki by 22 March 2026 at 16:00. Arrangements for submitting a written offer must be agreed in advance (via the "Send a message" enquiry button) by 18 March 2026 at the latest. All offers will be recorded publicly in the property's announcement. A written purchase offer is binding and is subject to the same terms as the online auction. A written offer must be signed and must state the contact details of the bidder, the maximum amount of the offer and the Huutokaupat.com item number to which the offer relates.

The City of Helsinki is not responsible for the functioning of the service provider's system. The highest bid is the one accepted by the service provider's system as the highest.

The City of Helsinki reserves the right to stop the sale or extend the sale period. 

Offers are binding and the maker of the accepted offer is obliged to enter into the lease and pay the offered price and the security in accordance with the lease. 

Bidders agree to disclose their contact details to the City of Helsinki for decision-making purposes.

The city decides on entering into the lease in accordance with the City of Helsinki's administrative regulation. By participating in the electronic auction the bidder consents to electronic notification of the decision. Electronic notification will be sent to the email address provided in the service provider's system.

Withdrawal from a bid

If a bidder withdraws from an accepted bid, they must compensate the City of Helsinki for costs incurred by arranging the failed auction.
