Volkswagen Golf, 2019, Espoo

2019 VW Golf driven directly from use – Reliable and economical favourite estate/utility car with two sets of studless winter tyres, sold to the highest bidder

The car was driven 200 km to Niittykumpu and operates properly

The car has three active fault codes
Meaning of the codes and their connection

P0030: Fault in the front lambda sensor heater circuit (open circuit/malfunction).

P2251: Open circuit in the front lambda sensor signal/reference circuit.

P2463: Excessive soot accumulation in the particulate filter (DPF soot accumulation).

When the 1.6 TDI's engine management detects an active fault in the front lambda sensor, it completely disables automatic DPF regeneration as a safety measure. During driving, soot accumulates in the particulate filter normally, but as regeneration does not take place, the filter fills up and eventually generates code P2463.

Replacement of the lambda sensor is recommended; the part costs approximately €90–200 and the work takes around 0.5–1.5 hours.
