Mitsubishi “Evolander” – Built with JDM Evo VII technology!

​Technology & Drivetrain

​This is definitely not the Outlander’s own low-tuned 4G63T engine. Many sell Turbo Outlanders “with Evo technology”, but they are not actually the same engine, although closely related. Under this bonnet sits a carefully rebuilt genuine JDM Lancer Evolution VII engine, in a completely different league!

​There is plenty of power (350+ hp, of course tested on private land). The built engine has covered only approximately 7,000 km:

• ​Engine: Genuine JDM Lancer Evolution VII (4G63T) – stripped and rebuilt

• ​Internals: Wiseco forged pistons & Brian Crower (BC) connecting rods

• ​Turbocharger: Evo IX turbocharger

• ​Boost control: Turbosmart components (also includes a manually adjustable Turbosmart boost controller, not currently installed)

• ​Clutch: Newly replaced, brand-new Sachs Race Engineering clutch

• ​Suspension: Newly replaced shock absorbers, springs, etc. – with increased ground clearance for a more purposeful stance and better capability

​The engine parts, turbocharger, fresh suspension and clutch alone already account for a substantial proportion of the car’s total value.

​Condition, appearance & things to note

• ​Generally a tidy and solid car, ready to drive.

• ​Exhaust system: Requires attention. Trial fitting has begun to achieve a better result – currently rather rough and loud sounds with a race catalytic converter and one silencer.

• ​Body: There is a rust hole in the driver’s door below the mirror, requiring repair. The bonnet scoop and a few details are wrapped, and the wheel arches have been coated with Plasti Dip.

• ​Interior: Basically tidy and intact.

• ​IMPORTANT NOTE FOR BIDDERS:

  This is a modified enthusiast car, not a new factory-built vehicle. There is certainly work and minor tinkering to do if you want it completely pristine – so please do not bid if you are looking for a faultless or perfect car.
