The buyer who submitted the accepted bid must sign a deed of sale in accordance with the Code of Real Estate and pay the purchase price in full within three weeks of the auction closing, unless the estate administrator and distributor state otherwise in writing. If the sale is not completed within this period for a reason attributable to the buyer, the seller may deem the buyer to have withdrawn and take further steps to sell the property. In this case, the buyer is liable under the Code of Real Estate for the reasonable costs incurred in preparing the sale and resulting from its failure to complete.

The purchase price must be paid in full at the completion of the sale before title and possession transfer, unless otherwise agreed in the deed of sale.

Title and possession transfer to the buyer on the terms agreed in the deed of sale, generally only after the purchase price has been paid in full.
