For sale is a very tidy four-wheel-drive Volvo, inspected this week with no remarks. One of the last made in Sweden, with the reliable D5 engine tuned by Polestar. The car has the excellent Summum equipment package, and the leather seats are in very good condition apart from a few details. It has seen very little use by families with children. Most of the mileage has accumulated through work-related travel.

I am selling the car because it is reaching the age where small wear parts already need replacing several times a year. Rust has affected every wheel arch; these have been repaired, but the rust is gradually returning from underneath. Rust-proofing paint has been applied to the wheel housings and chassis rails. There is much to like, but with a vehicle of this age you should be able to carry out some work yourself. The mileage is no longer maintenance-free.

Known faults include the rust mentioned above. In addition, the outside temperature gauge sometimes malfunctions, the blind-spot radar needs servicing, and the hose at the front-left corner of the windscreen washer system has split. As a result, the washer reservoir does not build up optimum pressure. The window is washed, but more washer fluid is used each time. The summer tyres on the wheels should last until the end of this season, but not much beyond that. The winter tyres are studded tyres used for one winter. Only one set of wheels.
