DeLaval B40 winter tape is a durable electric fencing tape for winter fencing. Dark brown fencing tape with an electric conductor (+) and an earth wire (-) running through the tape on opposite sides. Length 200 m, width 40 mm. High-quality, durable winter tape for medium-sized/large enclosures. The tape has good conductivity, repels snow and is more visible against the terrain in winter. UV-protected. The brown colour and 40 mm width ensure good visibility in winter.

Challenges of winter fencing

In winter, electric fencing often works poorly because snow insulates the animal from the ground, preventing the electrical current from passing through the animal to the ground. The same phenomenon can also occur in dry conditions. The earth wire woven into the winter tape ensures that the fence works even in demanding conditions. The winter fencing tape contains two separate conductors woven into the tape. One is the live conductor, through which the current flows, and the other is the earth wire. When an animal touches the fencing tape, it touches both wires at the same time, closing the circuit and giving the animal an electric shock.
